Qualifications & Experience

I have a Masters degree in Humanistic Person-Centred Psychotherapy from The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (SPTI), affiliated with the University of Birmingham.  I also have a Diploma in Supervision from SPTI.  

I am a registered member of both the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), adhering to their codes of ethics and good practice. I am committed to on-going personal and professional development including regular supervision, and hold professional indemnity insurance.

In addition to my core qualification, I have additional training in: 

  • Couples Counselling
  • Anger Management
  • Trauma Therapy
  • Supervision

I have over 10 years experience of working with individual adults and couples, young people and children, from a variety of settings, including GP Surgeries, Universities, Primary Schools, various Voluntary Sector Counselling Services, as well as in Private Practice.  I have a particular interest in, and experience of, working with couples.
